As my children are huge Pokemon fans we have been spending our days going on some lovely walks to chase Pokemon since the release of Pokemon Go!
It has been fantastic! They are seeing and experiencing new places and we are getting plenty of fresh air and exercise even though its winter and we are doing it together as a Family .♥
On Sunday we ventured into the CBD and if you are driving in I highly recommend this Brilliant App – City of Perth Parking. You can Browse or Search for where you want to go and all the parking facilities will show up with the opening hours, cost and available spaces. It is a super handy app to have if you ever take your car into the city and helps save you money because there is a difference in pricing in many of the car parks.
First we went to The Bell Tower and Elizabeth Quay. Here you will find some Bars, Cafes, Casual Burgers and Ice Creams! Something for everyone, it is a lovely place to spend time with your Friends, Family or Special Someone.
We had a nice sit on the chairs and listened to the Bells, Some gorgeous Ladies started started a traditional dancing display, People were on Segway tours, Double Decker bus Tour, Walking their Furry Friends and just spending some time in the Perth winter sun. There is always something happening Day or Night. At night Elizabeth Quay looks gorgeous with all the lighting and its setting next to the swan river. Come down and have a Meal and a Drink and take a nice walk along the river.
Near the Bell Tour you can book on Captain Cook Cruises, Catch the Rottnest express, Go on a Segway Tour or hop on the Double Decker City Explorer Bus.
Elizabeth Quay also has a Children’s Playground and Sand Play area, Lots of seating and Ice cream – The kids will Love it! My children would spend hours here if given the chance. You can also take the Transperth Ferry across to South Perth to have a visit, a picnic, go to the Zoo or just so the children can have a ride on the Ferry.
We walked through the Stirling Gardens which at the moment has parts that are fenced off and under improvement. It is a beautiful shady place to walk or have a picnic in the heart of the city.
We then parked at CitiPlace which is the parking complex attached to the Perth City Train Station. You then walk over the bridge into the Hay Street and Murray Street Pedestrian Mall areas. You could spend all day here exploring all the retail shops and little arcades.
You will find Food Halls, Casual Dining, Upmarket Dining and Various Bars. From the Citiplace car park you can also easily access the entertainment precinct of Northbridge. Which has a gorgeous area near the State Library which I will share on another post.
Sundays as we discovered in the City they now have a Home grown market with various handicraft and food stalls. There was a young man singing who had an amazing voice, So much to see and do and a great place to experience Perth and feel alive!
